Normally I don't like to start threads to bitch, but this is the bad beat forum, so...I've been knocked out of the last three SNGs I've played in as follows (these are all 2 table NL Hold Em):After just one caller, I raise with 88 preflop from button, hoping to isolate the loose player, the big blind. SB folds, BB calls, original caller folds. Flop comes down:J82.I raise with my trips, he reraises, I put him on AJ, I gleefully shove all-in and he calls, and flips over JJ. Ouch. 2nd tournament: This is the one that kills me. I've played 17% of hands, very tight, haven't made any steal or bluff attempts. 6 players left. Blinds 75-150. I raise to 500 from UTG with KK, called from button and BB. The pot it pretty big relative to the stacks now; it has me covered, has about 2 times what the button has and is a little less than the BB.Flop: TTT.Money. BB goes all-in; I put him on an ace-high and call (worst case scenario, I figure, he might have 10-9s or A-10, but flopping quads is pretty low probability). All that would have me beat would be aces (which would've raised preflop) or another 10. To my surprise, the button calls and flips over 10-2.I proceed to go on a rant about calling a massive preflop bet from an extremely tight player for well over 1/3 of his stack. His response? He had to "keep me honest."And now, the hand I got knocked out on 5 minutes ago. 8 players left, 1 limper from UTG+1, I call with J8s from the button, SB calls, BB calls.Flop: QT9. I flop a straight. UTG+1 bets, I reraise, he puts me all-in, I put him on AQ, maybe QT if he's a loose player (I had just sat down at the table). Everyone else folds, and he shows KJ, flopping the higher straight. Bummer, dude.
ack...3 sngs in a row
