padrefan98 0
After a bad night of losing some pretty big pots when holding monster pairs AA KK and QQ. I started asking myseld should I have folded them Pre-flop? I was playing a limit $4-$8, and fealt most of my opponnents were decent players and have had experience with them before. Im curious if anyone can think of a situation in which you would fold your monster pair in a limit game (position, or otherwise)? I would also like to hear from those who play No limit, if you can describe a scenerio or if you have done this? I know it must be near impossible to throw away AA, but were do you draw the line? Is it JJ that, after a 3 bet capped preflop that you lay down your pocket pairs? Thanks for your reply, I am really intrigued by someone who could ligitimately explain a KK lay down pre-flop. wrto4556 0
Never fold AA-QQ pre-flop. Even if it's capped when it gets to you.JJ and TT I fold to a 3-bet.
Alcatraz 0
David Chiu laid down KK preflop in the first tourney of champions. His opponent showed AA.In a tournament a few nights ago I nearly laid down QQ. I should have, as it turned out, I was up against KK.
Vade 0
You can lay down QQ and KK in a No-Limit Game or tourney with the right read. You should NEVER as wrto says, NEVER fold AA-QQ in a limit game.
Schneider 0
If you're facing a 4 bet in a table full of rocks QQ is an easy lay down.
JaysonWeber 0
If you're facing a 4 bet in a table full of rocks QQ is an easy lay down.I still wouldn't, I'd the the cheap 4 bet at the beginning hoping to spike a queen...
ChuckSty 0
i don't think you can justify laying down kk preflop personally unless you miraculously or non-miracoulously maybe have some kind of ultra-read on your opponent and know he's got the bulletts. that's just me though
ChuckSty 0
about the tournament of champions post, were talking limit here. i can see throwing them away in no-limit for various reasons. but in limit, no way in hell. the tournament of champions is no limit right?
KDawgCometh 2
If you're facing a 4 bet in a table full of rocks QQ is an easy lay down.Your implied odds for when your set hits is way too high to lay it down PF in limit, its a bad fold, take a flop
