I would raise/fold the turn.

Capping looks like spew to me, at best he's going crazy with a draw and we may as well just call the 3-bet and let him bluff the river anyway. No way I'm betting the river.

But I'm sure you have some reasoning for your play which will make me look stupid biggrin.gif

Nope. I posted it because I hated how I played it. I think another line is much better.

I would just call the three-bet on the turn.

I could see capping if we were able to narrow down the villain's hand range better, but since he's unknown I think it's best to play it safe.

I think the reasoning for the cap went something like:

-Him just calling a three-bet pre-flop rules out AA-QQ
-There are more combos of A10/K10 than 1010

Again though, I don't think we can narrow down his hand range that much without a read.

Yeah. I agree.

I'm going to delete this hand. I don't know what came over me in the hand, but for some reason I thought there was no way he had me beat and probably just picked up a draw or something. Kinda dumb against an unknown. He could easily have an overpair or a set.

Anyway, I won the hand and afterwards and remember thinking "why the **** did I just do that?"

Calling down the 3-bet is the standard play here. Folding to the 3-bet is good too, and much better then capping. Checking behind the river after capping is better then putting in a value bet on the river. I played this from the turn on just about as bad as anyone could play it.
