Okay, so I was playing .01/.02 NL at Stars, and this hand came up:PokerStars Game #1280314500: Hold'em No Limit ($0.01/$0.02) - 2005/02/27 - 20:31:10 (ET) Table 'Cloelia' Seat #2 is the button Seat 2: BigDaddy106 ($1.71 in chips) Seat 3: mumuku ($1.58 in chips) Seat 4: BLACKJOHN ($2.13 in chips) Seat 5: Myranim ($1.36 in chips) Seat 6: tducheli ($1.84 in chips) Seat 7: Mister206 ($4.92 in chips) Seat 8: Zamuel ($7.17 in chips) Seat 9: JimmyTJams ($5.71 in chips) mumuku: posts small blind $0.01 BLACKJOHN: posts big blind $0.02 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Myranim [Ah Qd] Myranim: raises $0.04 to $0.06 tducheli: folds Mister206: folds Zamuel: folds Mister206 leaves the table JimmyTJams: folds BigDaddy106: calls $0.06 mumuku: folds BLACKJOHN: folds Raise to 3XBB with AQ and get one caller. Note that whenever I've decided to play a hand, from any position, I've raised to 3XBB. I like this school of thought, as on the off chance that a person at this level is actually paying attention, it's hard to put me on a hand pre-flop.EDIT: Obviously I meant to say "raise TO 3XBB"*** FLOP *** [7h As Ad] Myranim: checks ellliemae joins the table at seat #1 BigDaddy106: bets $0.22 Myranim: calls $0.22Ooh, now that's nice. I hit a set, on a rainbow flop, with no straight draws on the board. I know there's a general disdain for slowplaying on these boards (Probably because most of us play limit, where it just doesn't work), but if there was ever a time a do it, this is it. Obviously pocket 7s or AK will ruin my day, but at this point in my poker career, if that happens, I'm likely paying them off no matter how I end up playing this hand. *** TURN *** [7h As Ad] [Ac] Myranim: checks BigDaddy106: bets $0.22 Myranim: calls $0.22 Well, looks like I don't have to worry about those aforementioned hands. The slowplay worked once, so I try it again. *** RIVER *** [7h As Ad Ac] [Jh] Myranim: checks BigDaddy106: bets $0.20 Myranim: raises $0.66 to $0.86 and is all-in BigDaddy106: calls $0.66 Meaningless Jack on the river, but maybe it gave him a big full house. The trap worked twice before, so I try it one more time, not really expecting him to bite again. Amazingly, he does, and THEN calls my all-in raise! Pretty quickly too.*** SHOW DOWN *** Myranim: shows [Ah Qd] (four of a kind, Aces) BigDaddy106: mucks hand Myranim collected $2.65 from potThat's right, eat my quads.*** SUMMARY *** Total pot $2.75 | Rake $0.10 Board [7h As Ad Ac Jh] Seat 2: BigDaddy106 (button) mucked [7c 9c]If you're calling raises with 7-9 suited (And calling my all-ins not knowing if I had a big pocket pair, the 4th ace, or if the Jack miraculously hit me on the river), I want you in every game I play. Now, obviously the way I played this worked out, as I doubled up. However, not really knowing what he had, I'm wondering what the ways are that I increasing my chances of this happening consistently. If he had checked behind me on the flop or turn, I should probably bet out the subsequent street. Likewise, I'm wondering if I should have just fired out on the river anyway...realistically, what were the chances of the third trap actually working? So does anyone have any thoughts? Or are my observatons here basically correct?

You got all of his chips, so clearly it's played correctly :PIn NL there is infinitely more value to slowplaying big hands, then in limit.Obviously, having no flush draw or straight draw possible helps as well.Well done.
