Who Is The Worst Coach In The Nba?

Recommended Posts

Sports Guy would say Doc Rivers. It's obviously Larry Brown. He's got the highest payroll in the league and he can't do anything with it. :club:
a good chunk of that payroll is allan houston and shandon anderson. so it really isn't larry's fault.

And the worst commissioner with the whole CBA fiasco. It's a trifecta.I was kidding about Larry Brown. I think it says a lot about Isiah's ineptitude that Larry Brown has succeeded everywhere he's been except New York.

i do think larry has probably done a crappy job this yearwhen you don't have the talent to run your system you run another system see Don Shula with Dan MarinoLarry would rather lose the right way than win wrong but clearly he's trying to sabatage zeke which i can't really argue with on any rational level

Any Bob.Bob Weiss...Bob Hill...the Sonics suck. I guess it doesn't really matter who's coaching you when you're rotating Johan Petro and Robert Swift (aka the ugliest man in the entire world) at center.

Robert Swift kinda looks like that goofy redheaded kid from American Idol a few years back, but Chris Kaman has officially taken over Sam Cassell's title as ugliest man in the entire world.

Larry Brown has had a good career, but he's been absolutely horrible this year. Yes, Isiah gave him a piece of **** roster to work with, but at the same time, he rotates players in and out of the lineup like musical chairs. How is it you give so few minutes to Frye, Ariza (before he was traded) and Robinson? What possible good does Eddy Curry and his atrocious assist/turnover ratio do playing 30+ minutes a game? And why would you ever put Rose, Marbury and Crawford on the floor at the same time?

Lay off the guy. He's doing a damn good job winning a few games while staying en route to grabbing a first pick :club: I can't believe the Knicks gave up Kurt Thomas for Quentin Richardson. "Hmm...our new coach loves solid, aggressive defense. Let's give 'im a perimeter shooter." Good god what a jopke....

Nope sorry. He's going to be grabbing a first pick for the Bulls because the Knicks traded their's to the Bulls. And it's not lottery protected either, great job Isiah

If Isaiah Thomas is running your team - you will never be in the lottery oh sure your team will be one of the worst but he'll have traded the pick for some guy with a huge contract that everyone thought would be a star 5 years agoI will say he has never made a trade as bad as the Ted StepienLottery picks for guys from expansion drafts - Mike Bratz! - he was the king

I'm still a fan of the concept that players win or lose games. Granted coaches are an important part, but I've never seen a coach miss a FT or a defensive assignment that caused his team to lose the game. Also, most coaches have little control over the amount of talent they have. Any coach looks bad when his team has very little ability.

Coaching is all about putting your players in the best position to succeed. Maybe the coach hasn't blown a defensive assignment, but maybe he put a bad defensive player in a key defensive position. Maybe he didn't miss the free throw, but maybe he shouldn't have had their worst free throw shooter out on the floor trying to protect a one-point lead with 5 seconds left. The majority of credit/blame should go to the players, but coaches can make a huge difference.

No worries; it would've been more obvious if you had seen all the Isiah bashing going on around here.

warriors fans know the truth. worst coach is whoever sits in our chair. right now it's mike montgomery (what a crappy signing by Mulllin btw)
Why did you guys get rid of EMuss? I thought he was a good coach.

yea muss was ok, we had no good players when he was around. problem was players didnt listen to him after a while. i'd like a proven NBA coach that the players will respect (at least a bit) instead of the college coaches or guys that dont have head coach experience we always hire

I honestly don't think that happens much in the NBA (putting a bad defensive player in or worst FT shooter). It happens a lot in HS and sometimes in college. Coaches do make a difference, but ultimately when you make a few million a season (speaking about the NBA), you should be able to perform at a very high level.
