I’ve been playing poker around 5 years now and been doing pretty well the past three years I usually play online around 50/1nl, 1/ 2 limit.2/4 ect And when I play at my local casino once every two weeks I play 2/10 spread which I do very well at. I usually make around 700 a month playing online but for some reason the past two weeks im actually been losing money im down 200.. I’ve put in close to 50hrs more then usual because I feel that at any moment I can make the money back but then I notice myself playing when Im not 100 focused and start being impatient. I feel like I need a break but at the same time whenever I try to take a break all I think about is playing. i have a good poker bankroll of roll of 2500. and can afford to take a break but at the same time when I try too all I think about is playing. im just a little discourage because I never really had such a downfall. Do I need to revaluate my poker skills? So what I decided to do was only play premium hands and for some reason im still losing. What do most of you guys do when things are running bad? When it seems like your always getting outdrawn and your ur kk seem like there always facing aces? I love poker but do I really have a problem? If you guys can let me know what you do when things are running bad and how you force yourself not to play it would be appreciated tx joel. p.s I attend college and playing poker is my only means of income to go out and pay a few bills.. yes I can get a job but at the same time playing poker is better then working at wendys. That’s one of the reason why I don’t want to stop for a long period of time because I feel that ill be losing money but maybe im losing more if I keep playing when im discourage and start playing passive. Hmmm I might of answered my own questions maybe its good to write things out.
what do u do when things are running bad?

I can't believe you've been playing for 5 years and this is the worst 2 weeks you've ever had. How many big bets is $200 for you anyway? I've lost 130 big bets in a week. Sounds like you are down about 50 big bets in 2 weeks? How many hands have you played during this time?I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

You really have nothing to worry about. I have had downfalls too. But in the end im up about 30k for the year. I have only had one losing month, but it was a big one of $1500. You can't win every month. A break of about 2 -3 days should be fine. I find that helps when im on a huge losing streak. When all you do is rem. the past few days of losing, you tend to still play dumb. A couple days off should be fine.
