The GoalTo turn $50 in my first Pokerstars deposit into $1000.The RulesI'll play only Limit games, primarily Holdem, though I might mix in some O8 or Stud etc. later on.I won't move up in limits without at least 300BB for the new limit. When you're in the BB, you actually have 3 players already in, wouldn't you want to call to see the flop since you're getting pretty good pot odds?

I've been trying limit out instead of playing sit and gos as I usually do, mostly because of your experiment and how much help its been. One question I have is, say you raise it with AJs and its 3 bet, you call and the flop is uncoordinated J high. You bet out and are raised by the 3 bettor. Obviously reads are important but say you just sat down and have no read on this person. Do you usually call, and just check call the turn and river even if their bets are hinting at an overpair? Are overpairs supposed to get paid off or do you lay this down a portion of the time?

It's because he's weak/tight. Raise the 99, bet the flop, bet the turn.Bet the flop with AK. Come on, you're giving these folks bad advice.

First off, I like your name.Second, raising 99 is correct, but getting a free card and betting fold equity is about a coin fliip with AK.

99 is good against 2 random hands 60% of the time. You are only putting in 30% of the money. Plus, by raising you buy the button and get fold equity. Sure, one or more overcard will come about 70% of the time, but 3 handed?? Come on...raising is clearly a better play. I win this one.

Those overcards aren't going to connect with one limper and the BB often enough. If the overcards hit your opponent 1/2 of the time you still show a profit.

Of coarse they are going to bet raise and call! That's how you play...That's how you know if your hand is good....its a good raise. It's a correct raise.

Also, the times you get it head-up with a raise help clean up the overcard worries.Also there are times you get three-bet.It's a bad raise. Can't help you here, there are three left to act and one in. Raising is throwing money away.There's a diffrence between weak and foolish.
