Nate 0
You have a hand like AQ and the flop comes something like 3d 8c 4h.How would you play it in--1.) early position2.) middle position3.) late position
Vade 0
Lead out with AQ in any position on most flops that miss.If someone beats you to it and bets, call or raise depending on how aggressive the table is.Clearly, you don't want capped betting on the flop with just a draw, so laying it down is okay if enough aggression is shown, but hopefully my preflop raise earns me the right to lead at the pot
Guest XXEddie
it all depends. did I raise pre-flop and he call, de he raise and i call. do II have position on my opponent(s). if so, how many. however, I usually would raise with AQ, or call a raise from MP or LP so i wouldp probably continue my aggression
akishore 0
limit or NL??? full-handed or short-handed??? aggressive game or passive game??? poker isn't a game where there's always a correct answer for every situation in which you have AQ on a 2-3-8 flop, it's dependant on hundreds of factors. at least supply a few?thanks, aseem
wrto4556 0
It realy matters the texture of the flop, and if you have fold equity. Just because you raised pre-flop doesn't mean you should auto-bet any flop, and if anyone sais that i'm wrong, they're ignorant.Lets do some examples with A Q If you raised from EP. You get 6 callers.Flop is: 2 8 T You have a BD flush draw and a BD straight draw and two big over-cards. So, about 5-6 total outs. You have a decent equity edge...however, with 6 oppoonents your fold equity is right around 0%. Here, you can bet because you are putitng in 14% of the money with a 25% equity edge.Suppose the flop came down 2 7 7 Here, you have alot of fold equity. Who hit this flop? Only people that might stick around are 22, a seven, and small pocket pairs. There are no draws. You can bet at this and hope to get it head up for the turn. But if the flop comes 9 8 K You really don't have much and should probably check/fold.I'm bored. You get what I mean. With less callers and more fold equity be more inclined to bet. With more outs, be more inclined to bet. With more opponents and less fold equity be more inclined to check, with less outs, be more inclined to bet. Also, be less inclined to bet a draw heavy board unless it's short-handed. JaysonWeber 0
Playing overcards after missing the flop..http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/a...3b1ffbe92b82d20That should help a bit :)It's all about flop texture being able to look at the flop and know whether to bet or call or raise with your overcards is essential...
