This is exactly the type of hand that gets me into major trouble:PF: I’d play it the same.Flop: Well, betting out doesn’t protect your hand, and button showed some aggression PF so you might hope to get a check-raise behind him. If someone has a king (that’s pretty likely with 5 players right?), we’re down to about two outs and roughly 8% equity. Even if all 5 players called, we would still be contributing 17% to the pot. A 3-bet pf should mean some fold equity, but I think I still check with the intention of raising button. It’s unfortunate he didn’t fire at it.Turn: My first thought was to try to check-raise, but now that I think about it, that doesn’t make too much sense. There was no aggression on the flop, so there is no way to know where a bet might come from. I think I bet here too.

b/c flop.my thoughts before seeeing flop action, seriouslyno reason to think this gets bet, and the fd/sd's must be chargedyou're not protecting hand, you're value betting and protecting in the sense that you don't give infinite odds to draw

I remember a thread a while back actuary when you emphasized not capping in middle position in a 3 way pot with TT because you knew the pf 3-bettor would always lead the flop and then you could protect your hand better on the flop.What i'm about to suggest is -ev pf, but it could maximize our ev on later streets...What about just calling pf and c/r the button on the flop?In no way do i think this is the correct play, i'm just throwing it out there to see what others think.

I don't recall the details of that hand.Here, we can face 3 players with 2 bets and may fold something like A9 off.We also see if it get capped. If all call that's fine too, as we can play this for set value with oods to see the turn almost always.

I like the preflop 3-bet for all of the reasons Actuary mentioned.I'm betting the flop after the 3-bet as well.If we can get it down to say 2 opponents, I'm betting the turn as well. Folding to a raise, most of the time, unless it comes from a habitual bluffer when scare cards fall.- Zach
