This was a pretty crappy play by me, but I wanted some commentary/tips on a hand I played today on a $5 SNG on Full Tilt. It's about 15 hands into the tournament, I'm at about 1700 from 1500 buy in. I have J
10
, early position (who've I seen play almost every hand, with about 1800) raises to 90. I call, hoping to see something I like. Flop comes 3
5
8x, he checks to me, I bet 200 hoping to steal, and he raises to 400. I call, and the turn comes J
. He then bets all in, and I think he's bluffing and have a few outs, and call. He turns over A 10, I miss the spade on the river AND he hits an ace...So I played that poorly, I suppose, but the overbet and his aggressiveness before that hand made me call him both times. Should I not have bet the flop? Thanks-YLi

Piece by piece.Calling a raise with J10 suited is fine, particularly with positionThis guy's a maniac, so he could be raising with anythingYour bet is correct on the flop I feel, and calling the raise is okay, but he could be drawing to the same flush OR your situation where he has you dominated preflop. One of your cards came on the turn, but I think folding is right, BECAUSE it wasn't the spade. hitting top pair when you have a suited connector is a bad result. Yeah, he out drew you, but you were behind most of the hand.Gotta lay this down

two things i dont like1) calling a raise with J10s form an EP raiser...i guess its ok because he might seem to be a maniac, hard to tell after 15 hands though12) allin on the turn, ok you hit a pair but your kicker is weak

I like the pre-flop call. On the flop, once he raises you, move in on him. If he calls, you have a few outs, but more times than not, he's folding.
