PotemkinCity 1
well it ahs been a good 15 minutes, i have had a toke and thought about this hand for a good while, and I'm interested in some feedback on it. I joined a .25 .50 PLholdem table in which i knew 4 of the 9 players in detail and was fairly confident in my game. 20 hands in and I have a stack of around 45.00, I bought in for 25. I'm holding AJoff 1 off the big blind. I max raise and get 4 way action. Flop AJ10 two spades. SB checks, I bet out the max a little over 9 I believe. mid position lets 5 seconds run off their time bank and calls. fold fold. I start going through the hands he coujld have, i was most worried about 99 and being behind or AK and getting sucked out but I was fairly sure my AJ was good, I thought he may also be drawing to flush. The turn comes the deuce of clubs. i bet out 25. He waits a few seconds and re-raises me all in.I only had 9 left so it was an easy call with top 2 and a seemingly blank on the turn. The river brings a 7 and I still feel good about the AJ, i figure if hes got the set of 9's im paying him off anyway.he's holding 22.my question is still this, can I get away from top two here?should I have checked the turn?I feel like I am the one who played this poorly but I havent figured out why yet.**on a disgusting sidenote I have busted out of 6 MTT's since saturday where I lost to 22, 5 of the six it was all in preflop 2xAA 1xKK 1010 & AK and the other was AK on an AK2 flop. to add insult to injury, before I joined this PLhold'em game 22 knocked me out of a 5 sng on an unraised flop of 8910 im in BB holding 67, i check raise 22 all in he calls, turn 2 river 8.should my strategy now be when there is a 2 on board to fold? GoCryWolfe 0
I guess I am confused as to why you were afraid of 9-9?
XXEddie 0
I guess I am confused as to why you were afraid of 9-9?he said he thought he had 99 for a set so im guessing the flop was AJ9 not AJT
Swift_Psycho 1
I have no idea why you feel you should have been able to get away from it on the turn.
BeaverStyle 1
tp/mmwelcome to fcpyou got sucked out on by a player that had no business calling that flop bet. He was probably thinkin': "There's 2 more cards to come, anything could happen.."Bad Beat. w00t
