BB: 16/6/1.82 400 hands nothing nutty yetButton 41/14/ 1.66I'm 35/15/2.14 after 55 hands, if anyone is paying attention, but if I've been datamined before, I"m sure these are mitigatedPreflop: Hero is CO with [Ah], [Qd]. 6 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls.Flop: (6.50 SB) [8d], [5s], [8h] (3 players)BB checks, Hero bets, Button folds, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.Turn: (6.25 BB) [Ad] (2 players)BB checks, Hero checks.I make this play (check turn, and intend to call river or bet if checked to), maybe too much. Just checking here

Hmm...I'd probably bet the turn out of habit, but then I'd hate to be 3-bet, and I don't want to not get value if we can get him to think his medium PP is good and take a stab at the river. All said, I kinda like this play under these circumstances.

flop play to say: You don't have an 8.If he caps and leads non AJ turn, I call and fold river UI, puting him on PPless than 8 usually. I wuld not raise a A/J river though.Since no cap, my plan was to do as I did. I did not want to face anothr c/r yet my hand has SD value HU. This plan was hatched prior to me actually seeing the turn So, without much time, I thought:- if he has a PP < 8, he's folding almost always to a bet now- he's folding gutshots and two high cards w/o an Ace- if he has Ax he's going to c/r. I'm getting 5:1 effective to call down a c/r + river bet, so I feel it's an easy call down, since he won't give me credit for a really strong kicker- if he has 55/8x (he may call here with T8s preflop, as noted, I was Laggy there), I"m geting c/r and killed, and losinng 3 bets.He will bet a lot of rivers. This is just a low stress way to get to SD, while losing value sometimes and saving bets other, and making more against the right opponents.I'm sure there's a place for it, and had the turn been a T, I'm pretty certain this is a place for that, as he probably bets with A high on that river enough.my game needs work in these situations

Who else thinks the flop 3-bet is a spew?*PK raises hand*Maybe if qualitatively you knew villain was very tight or weak post flop the play could work. Personally, I hate the flop line.

He bet river, I calledAJ, I win.In this case I probably made 1 less BB. I liked my plan if no Ace, but otherwise, I should bet that Ace and call down a c/r.Pay off trips if necessary.PK, he c/r a lot of flops, given his stats. I mean A LOT.I wanted to see what he did on the turn.To the extent I use "raising for info", I use it against solid (but probably not tricky) players in HU battles.
