dont post results, even in white. Actuary and Zach are some of the best advice youll get, but they are results whores and youll end up with biased replies.but other than that, NHi dont see where you think you couldve done anything different.

I'd probably play it like that, though the PF raise depends on the tightness of the limper and blinds, that and I just hate playing KJo for no real reason (which isn't to say I wouldn't have raised there, BTW). But other than that, you have no reason to think your hand isn't good since nobody gave you any indication. Out of curiosity, what was your plan on the river if you got raised?

You guys would be so disappointed if you saw me play...lolAs for the hand...I like the raise preflop. Why not? All we had was a limper from UTG, he could have any range of crap at this level. The blinds will probably call, but we have great position. I actually had this exact situation come up at the B/M last week. I had KJ on the button, one EP limper. I knew the blinds were tight-ish, so they would usually fold, and they did. I took the pot down with a bet on the flop when checked to. Depends on reads, I suppose, if you are pretty much just trying to steal, but we still have a decent enough hand to connect with the flop. The rest of the hand really plays itself, IMO. Bet until shown resistance.I just read the results, and that is pretty much typical of what I would expect. Sometimes you'll lose to a donkey with KQ or something that they played passively, and sometimes they'll c/r the river with garbage two pair, but you can't play it any differently.- Zach

Well played. In this particular situation - one EP limper, KJ on the button - yes the raise is VERY good. I'm not sure I do it but if I don't I should. In many, many other situations KJo is a limp or fold to a raise kinda hand. In this particular spot you should also raise hands like A8s and ATo that you might otherwise limp/fold. Position is important in hold'em.The rest of the hand made me smile because this is the kinda hand where you'll see people complain "I just can't make these low limit idiots fold". Was it Ed Milller who said "They like to call and I like to let them". Sure you'll get sucked out on more often than you'd like but these kind of tables/players are like a personal ATM machine.

Good feedback...I was pretty sure my preflop raise was correct..as I was pretty sure all the villians in the hand were fairly loose/donkish, but that was probably the decision that I most wanted some feedback on..wanted to see how many of you agree with raising there and how many of you would call or fold. In the end, I think raising was right. As for the river, someone asked what my plan was for the river is I was check-raised...I would probably call just because a lot of the players at this table were donks and would make stupid bluffs like that with middle pair...but against a more solid player I think a bet/fold would be correct...as there isn't much I could beat against a solid player.Edit: On second thought..on the river against a solid player..I might consider just checking that river........
