AlphaOmega 0
I like it. On the river, I'd just check behind. We may occasionally fold a better hand like ace high on this river, but unfortunately that doesn't encompass most of villain's holdings.Edited to add: We can fold a flush draw, but we beat most of those anyway. Actuary 3
pot is small villan is competentI prefer peeling flop, folding turn UI.I look forward to getting schooled though!
AlphaOmega 0
pot is small villan is competentI prefer peeling flop, folding turn UI.I look forward to getting schooled though! We have position and maybe 8.5 outs (though they should probably be discounted a little) against a straightforward opponent, making it likely that we can see all the cards to make our hand, by raising. We also clean up outs behind us, though that's not as significant since the pot is smaller. We could also have the best hand if he's leading a draw.
rwood 0
no thats def. an option...but i prefer to put pressure on whenever possible...first if he had a Q, then my A outs were assuredly good, as was my gutshot and i liked my backdoor flush proposition...when he 3 bet me i knew from playing him that he was on a pure flush draw, because he wouldnt have limped with a TP hand that he could 3 bet with,if he had a set i knew from playing him that he would have smooth called my raise and cr'ed me on a non flush cardanyways we see from his check on the river that my assumption was correctthe reason i bet the river is for the fold equity, i do not want to show down the hand that i had raised him with on the flop, and although it is usually a useless bet as any hand i beat will fold, I WANT THEM TO FOLD so that they cannot gain info on my play. also because of my raise on the flop i look to be representing a Qso if he did have the NF draw with a better kicker... i would be getting him to fold that also with the bet, winning me the pot an even higher percentage of the time even though i was outkicked, so the bet on the end is DEF necessary...please tell me if you disagree with any of this analysis... Zach6668 513
Why don't you just check behind, and then he shows his cards first, and you can muck if you lose, instead of losing a bet. Unless you think you can fold a better A-high.- ZachEdit - I'm assuming your B/M uses the same rules for showdown as mine.
Actuary 3
I like your analysisI especially like that you give analysisCould he also do this with say 55-88.He won't give you credit for TPgK right? after you limped in LP.I think you outplayed him in the mental game, nh, in that respect for sure
rwood 0
sorry this is onlinealso because i had represented the Q on the flop he will fold his A hi to a bet, in this opponents case, every time, and in against other players, they will fold enough of the time to make it profitable via the size of the potso i bet live and onlineactuary:he def. might throw out a bet with those hands you suggested, but he def. WOULD NOT 3 bet them from my exp. playing with him, i def. could hold QJ which i would raise on the flop also...glad you liked the analysis
Zach6668 513
I must have confused a few threads... I ask for people to get more active on here, and now I can't even keep track...lol
KramitDaToad 0
when he 3 bet me i knew from playing him that he was on a pure flush draw, because he wouldnt have limped with a TP hand that he could 3 bet with,If you are confident of this read, I would be tempted to raise the turn & bet any non-diamond river. It will increase your fold equity to almost 100% unless he pairs his kicker and gain some value as wellYou would have to be very confident of the read though
Absolute 0
I don't like this at all.Unless I am misreading the hand, this is an easy turn fold. There's TONS of hands and segments about these hands in SSHE. You don't have nearly as many outs here as you think you have to justify seeing a river here.I see plays like this all the time in small stakes games, and its really a leak in the long run.Your play on the flop is creative and I understand your read and your analysis. But call the three bet and fold a turn that isn't an A, club, or 5? And you can only give your ace 1.5 outs here.
