whats going on???

ive been a member here since december, and for a while i was keeping up with the site, coming here about once a day, reading daniel's journal, posting something in the forum every now and then, but then around mid-januaryish i stopped coming here. not that i didn't like it, i just always forgot, 'hey i need to go check FCP'. but i always kept putting it off, and then forgetting to check it. now at the end of february, i finally decide to drop in and get caught up with the blog and everything, and i realize that the forum is completely different! there's so many posts, so many [rude] people, multiple posts about nothing (like that 'I dare you to type this word' post), some posts about not really appropriate things, people competing for the best (or most nude) avatar, and i sit here and wonder, whats happened to this forum?! i used to come here all the time and i loved it, and now i come into a forum and can't stand to be in here for more than 4 minutes. so much has gone on in the little time ive missed. ok, thats all im gonna say, but i know that after i post this, some jerk is probably going to read it and reply 'then dont come here anymore, dumba**', but whatever, go ahead and say that, it just proves my point. everyone have a nice life.

actually im gonna say i agree with you..now i just have to weed out the useless posts and find the good ones. Its still a good forum with a just few bad parts.

As with anything, when its new and unknown, a smaller crowd will frequent it and its a "tighter" community ... and as word spreads and it grows, you'll attract more and more people so the percentage of idiots, jackasses, and flamers will increase as well.But its still not hard to sift through that to the good threads and posts, at least not in my opinion.

on the "I dare you to type this word" thread, it was more about the censor phrases that they had instituted, some of which ere funny, but annoyinng when trying to have a seriousl post and you say that someone was drawing dead, except it said drawing-jeez aen't these the best eggs you've ever had. Yes there have been an increase of the flame posts, really its the herd following a leader, or more correctly a few bad apples ruining the bunch

Yeah, the "I dare you to type this" was a joke thread because we were being censored. As for the fact that there are more jerks on the forums, I would have to agree, however sometimes people misinterpret what people say as being rude rather than argumentative. Arguments are okay, that is what the forums are for (as far as i feel) however being rude isn't. Either way, there is still some good stuff left on this forum.
