I probably just call his flop raise. It got the hand heads up, so raising because of our flush draw and an overcard isn't for value, and I don't see us having too much of an equity edge on this flop (if he's got either a queen or a 7 you don't have an edge heads up).

I call the flop raise and raise an ace on the turn and probably call a river bet if he 3-bets the turn. It would definitely be nice if there were some reads though.

I agree with DblTrain on flop
Villan looks to be protecting TP or Trips here.

I really doubt you ever get a free card here and that is only reason to tilt this to a 3-bet imo.

River is clear call. And expect to lose a lot.

On turn raise: You scare Qx here and get 3 bet by a 7. Unless he's aggressive/nutty I'll just call the bet. Would really suck if he just calls your raise and c/r's a non :icon_suit_heart: river.

edit to add: Brings up the point of info. you raise turn he 3-bets. How often are you good? 1/17 ? ahh.. a read is nice. But, again, I don't raise the turn, so I have less info and call for 1 less BB.

I didn't see me being good here 1/17, thats why I wasn't sure if this was a clear call. I assumed it was, but with the lack of hands posted lately, i figured why not post anyway. lol, thanks everyone.

its not good 1/17 if he is at all passive.

I like showdowns.
the pot is 17BB but 4 of those come from your turn raise.
So, think of it as 13:1 and now you have a lot more info that you are beat.

Building big pot, and then justifying calls, is only good if building was right in the first place.

we need more opinions here I think, as it's a style difference.

I just call his flop raise. I raise the turn, cry when he 3-bets, c/c the river.

what if he flat calls turn?
....

ok..

then he c/r river?

Had I not seen villan cap flop, maybe the trun raise makes more sense, so yeah. But I like letting him lead the river. I feel i make the same a lot when ahead, and save 2 BB's when behind. Expecailly nice when he leads his Qx into me on a flush river.

forum is kicking ass now!
I'm learning a lot!

If he c/r the river, it sucks. My guess is fold, but I can't do it. I'll call, right or wrong. I see what you are saying though. I think he could check/raise the river even if the flush card hits. Your hand is well disguised here, he thinks you just have an ace, usually. Now, trying to forget that he actually 3-bet the turn, if he just smooth calls, I'm not missing a bet on the river by checking.
