Laptop Dvd Player Issues

Recommended Posts

Ok here's the deal...A while back I made a post in here about how my DVD player in my laptop wasn't working properly, and someone suggested cleaning the lens. It worked perfectly, and everything was going just fine until the other day...I bought a DVD, and went to play it in the laptop, and got the same bullshit as when the lens was dirty.I cleaned it again, and put in a different DVD, which worked fine.Put in the DVD in question... and it still didn't work.I repeated this process a few times, and nothing has worked. The DVD in question works just fine in my DVD player hooked up to my basement TV, just not on my laptop...Any ideas?

check the disk for warpage...laptops are more sensitive to vibration than pc's due to the lack of mass in the enclosure...also, the track of the lens can also become dirty, adding to the problemuse compressed air on the lens/carrier mechanism and it should be fine

the disk was bought literally 10 hours ago, so warpage shouldnt be a problem ?i'll give that a shot.. hopefully it works...
