both of those. A, i think ive folded getting between 13/18-1 twice and got schooled, it blew.Secondly, your still new at the table, you defnitelly dont want the table to know you can jam the pot, only to fold for one more on a massive river. This could be devasting for your session.

I have to say I'd probably call that river. Closing the action getting 15:1. Yeah, overcalling there doesn't make me feel too great...especially when someone raises that river...but the pot is too big for me to not call one more when I know I can't be forced to put in more bets after that.My optimistic side hopes one has KJ and the other AJ, playing cautiously so as to make sure that no overcards come and a flush doesn't hit...my "I hate the world" side thinks one has a set of 7s and the other a jack high straight. Still, I can't fold there.

With no reads I make the overcall. You only have to be right a small percentage of the time (with an overpair on a non-flush board - no less) and it's good from a metagame standpoint so people don't start giving you fits by bluff-raising most rivers against you.

I think I can fold this river. Yeah yeah...big pot etc. BB is cold-calling. You have the worst overpair. I cant see how you're good even 1/15 if these guys aren't idiots. It might be a mistake, but I sometimes C/C this river.

I think it's important to recognize that it's rare that BB has your hand beat.Usually the cold caller tips you off that you're f'ed. But for how he played the hand, he's not a big factor. The 8 is not likely at all to improve him, and you have to expect him to push harder with two pair or better on the flop. He most likely has TPGK. 16:1 on the river with an overpair against unknowns on a safe board, and you have good reason to believe you're ahead of the cold caller.I call for sure.He might not spazz out/misclick 1/16 times, but the spazz factor coupled with the slow playing TPTK factor adds up to far more than that.

BB called getting <7:1 too,So he has to be a retard as well.I see sets slow down to flop raises, no lie.BB could have JT here, sometimes. You know I hated folding and my heart would not have let me, if I was the only caller. The info alone would "make" me call.

I'm less likely to call when I shouldn't if someone else has already called, so I can see that I made the right decision when they show... or toss my computer out the window...

I think this is AJ at least some of the time.I can imagine how brilliant he would feel when BB flips up KJ and he opens up his AJ to take down a monster pot. He'd somehow manage to value bet and bluff all in the same bet.

played fineyou DEF. want to see a showdown hereyou dont want people bluff raising rivers, 1you will get valuable info i e he raised you on the end after flopping 2 pair, or he raised you on the flop with draw that got there on the riverit's up to you if you bet for value, or just check/call, either way, you have to see showdown there, being new without reads.
