7c8c or the hand really wouldn't be that interesting.
It says in the OP that he showed the 7 of spades.

I actually voted for 78 because Im a moron and hit the wrong choice, so I meant 75. Daniel has no problem raising UTG with hands like these, suited 95% of the time, and from watching his play last night on GSN, I saw an interesting hand where he re-raised Freddy Deeb when he flopped a wheel. Just seems like he has no problem pushing really strong hands.

Had to be 7 5. No way DN goes all in on a bluff. He is very capable of opening with low suited one gappers. It looks like his opponent had a hand, DN was hoping to trap him big. That is why you play those kind of hands. We need the answer please...

good read on the berkley kid that he could make a laydown there... i'm sure you didn't realize he was as strong as that, but i'm sure you sensed he thought you were strong. stage three thinking kids :club: master at creating table image.... but no wonder you're often going broke early with bluffs like that :D

Figured it was 78s semibluff, why would you go all-in with the nuts (75s) here...?

:club: So did I... Not that I would rule out 87 in any way, but I think the Berkley Kid made a good laydown, and that DN hit his st8 on the Turn./Allan

78 makes more sense here. The big blind just showed a lot of weakness by checking the turn after betting the flop and DN has to think there's a good chance that he'll get a couple of folds if he goes all-in here. Also, if he's up against a queen, (which he thought he was), he's still got nine outs if he gets called. He has to think he can get paid off 11/1 if he hits his gutter, so I don't think there's any "fishy" play calling with the gutshot either. Also, I think raising UTG with 75s with (relatively) small stacks is a fundamental mistake. 78s on the other hand is a solid enough drawing hand that DN can make up for any value he'd lose raising it with the deception. And yes, I voted 78 before reading the answer.

I knew it was 7, 8. I don't think Daniel would have scared them off the hand if he made the straight. I also don't think he would call a raise in early position with 7, 5. He would have milked those rookies if he had made the straight. He knew they wouldn't put all their chips in the middle unless they had a really good hand. NH Daniel.

I figured 75, but I could see 78. I have a feeling you didn't know you were up against bottom set though. If you did then thats pretty ballsy. Also, it should be noted that I suck at poker. I've mentioned this before, just thought I'd reiterate.

Cast your vote here to guess what Daniel had in his hand. Here is the hand below in case you missed it:2:03pm: "Just played a SUPER interesting hand. Up to $17,500."2:04pm: "I made it $400 UTG LP call BB made it $1,200, call, call. Flop Qc 6c 4h. BB bet $1,500. Call, call. Turn 8. Check. I go all in for $9,625. LP player studies me for 5 minutes with bottom set! He lays it down. BB lays it down...What did I have? Tell you later..."2:09pm: "I showed the kid the 7 of spades and he is still talking about it. He is convinced I had 7 5 or 7 8...What do you think?!"
I think Daniel hasn't really been playing his best lately, and therefore I feel he was bluffing on the all in. It seems to me, there's been a lot of "hope" in Daniel's play of late and this is why I feel he was calling initially hoping for the gut shot 5. Further I don't think Daniel would have raised preflop to begin the betting with 75, perhaps with 78 suited.

Give him credit for going with his read that Berkley was on a flush draw or had Q... And the other guy was weak. The 8 was a scare card for Berkley and DN pulled the trigger...Great Play...
