Hero in the CO: Ad 7d

Preflop: 2 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, Hero calls, Button calls

Flop (9.5 SB): Kd 2c 7s
BB bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, BB folds, Hero calls

Turn (8.25 BB): 4c
Hero checks, Button checks

River (8.25 BB): 8h
Hero?

his play makes no sense. I doubt he has AQ or something and was looking for a free card. Same goes for JJ/TT.

I would check. I don't think you're winning here, but I'd still call a bet because his play is so bizarre.

Right on. Frequently when I see something like this villain is trying to induce a bet on the river so he can raise. Check/call for info.

I do this sometimes shorthanded. Many people can check/fold, but few can bet/fold, it seems.
