should i slowplay this set?

I was playing 1/2 NL. I was in middle position with 6s6d and called 2. Everyone folded to the SB who raised to 10 (5BBs). There was one early position caller and I called. The flop came 3c 4c 6h. The raiser bet 18 into a 34 pot. The early position (who was short stacked) raised it to 34. I knew the SB was an aggressive player and if I slowplayed I probably would have had him call the extra 16 bucks. However to avoid the potential flush draw I reraised to 72 which made the SB fold and the early position player all in (he had 44). My question is should I have just called the 34 to get more action from the SB or was it best to raise to avoid the SB getting a higher set or a flush? Thoughts?Thanks for your help!

you don't think they'll both suspect something if you just smooth call here? I don't think slowplaying is a possibility given the flop action and the board.

You did the right thing. This is a draw-heavy board, with straight and flush draw possibilities. You are 90% sure that you have the best hand, so you need to protect it. A big raise is certainly in order here. Remember, you want to get your money in with the best hand! Good play.
