Also,
For those who do, how long have you been doing it, and what limits are you playing?

Primarily play $100NL and $170NL now, I make about double what I would make in a regular job with my age/work experience etc.
Plan on continuing until September when I go to uni, and then hopefully it'll allow me to pay my way through uni.
Poker is just a short term thing for me, I won't make my living from it in the future, I'm just riding the wave for as long as it lasts.

I think he said he was earning around $5 an hour but figured he could make 7 playing online, I was wondering what happened to him.
I think he posted it around October last year.

I'm almost sorry to hear that.
It was one of those "that's so crazy it might just work" ideas.

i guess the best way to put it royal..is when grindnig out a consistent win is the only way to drown out your sorrows AND get laid..the money means something, even if you never invest more than $10 in a hand..

I play 1/2 NL and mix it up with some tourneys (MTT and STT) and when I am really bored... Omaha. Although that game is really growing on me and seems incredibly soft.
I quit teaching at the end of last year because my poker income superceded my teaching income and was a lot less demanding.

I have a £500 BR and consider 25 max to be JUST ABOUT within my BR, 1/2NL is way to high, you will bust it out!
are my BR calculations correct or can I move up? lol!

Lol, well in that case, ignore my preaching. Although you could still be above your roll, it's like 250-300 BBs for limit rite? you need like 5-600 to play at 1/2 alone?

i'm living pretty cheap for now tho. i mix between 6-8 tabling limits betw 2-4 and 5-10, and playing stt's and mtt's usually $20 and $30 buy in.
i've only been doin it for a few months, and am pushing off figuring out what will be with taxes. my earnings for the year will probably not exceed 20k, but will not be far short of that.
acc to my estimates if i played full time i'd make around 30k for the year.
