Hey guys,I'm planning on entering one of the $1000 buy-in NL tournies on the last couple of days. I just had a couple questions I was wondering if anyone knew the answers to:1) Is it safe to wait until I arrive in Las Vegas a day or two beforehand to buy my entry fee, or should I buy it ahead of time to be absolutely safe?2) Is there anything weird about this tournament that I should know about? Should I be prepared for anything different from a smaller buy-in tournament at a local casino? Thanks for any help you can provide....

1) You should be safe a day or two beforehand because they are expecting so many players this year. You prolly can preregister ahead of time.2) Starting chips has been the same amount of the buyin. $1000 buyin equals 1000 tournament chips. Expect all different types of players. You will probably be see some crazy hands. It should be a mad house with all the players being in one spot just for poker.

...try a couple online satellites. You may be surprised at how easy it is to get up a couple of levels. So far, I'm 2 for 2 on the Pokerstars $5 rebuy tourneys...got 160-dollar entries on both shots without doing anything special. True, now I gotta win a 9x9 double shootout, but hey...worth the investment to me.
