Abbaddabba 0
My advice is this:Every time you have a winning session, regard it as profit.Every time you have a losing session, regard it as a business expense. The money in your bank account is no longer your savings. It is now to be called your bankroll. Compare yourself to players you've seen on tv as often as possible. Use terms like "grind" or anything else you've heard in Rounders. Let's face it, you basically ARE a rounder at this point.
antistuff 0
I'll attempt to be constructive here.Your question comes off like, well, it kinda doesn't make sense. If you want to learn to play poker read some books, read the forums here and at twoplustwo.com, and try post questions you have. And play a whole lot. You are going to get a whole lot of sarcasm for posting this. Don't bother responding back to it.

Actuary 3
abbacaddabbra can't help himself, juggo!I fail to see the connection or relavance of grinding and how to paly hands. Seems like you should make decisions that maximize EV, whether you are a grinder or weekend warrior. If you grinding implies you really need the money, then adhere to a strict bankroll rule of 300 BB for Limit. So play 1/2 with $600 min, for example. I wouldn't advise playing a reduced variance style to avoid downswings, as it will just hurt your long run wr.that's all I can add, based on my understanding of your question. LewFather 0
I guess you could say a grinder is someone who adheres to strict BR management, good table selections and plays for a living. I guess under these rules anyone could be a "grinder". More likely a true grinder would be someone with deep knowledge and respect for the game. Is a student of the game and understands the variance of each session, Which combines into 1 life long session.

I suggest you start reading (either books or this forum).

kdogg 0
what is the right grinding strategy? do you just sit and wait for premium hands? then push them hard or slow play them? any advice?Definitely slow play all of your hands, even the crappy ones. Your opponents will not be able to get a read on you and this will put them on tilt. Once they're on tilt, give them a roundhouse kick to the chin and say "Houdini".
