get a MP raise, folds to me, I reraise to 6xBB and he calls

Flop:

A 5 5

He checks

I bet 6xBB

he reraises to 12xBB

I call

turn is a K

He pushes all in for about 20xBB more I call. He flips up JJ to make a boat on the river.

Now I know this is basically a bad beat story and the guy clearly shouldn't have pushed, but my query is, wait for it...

Do you fold the top two pairs here?

The guy has been playing fairly tight for a good hour and only shows down when he has a very solid hand.

post this in the bad beat section. it's not strategy related at all. "I have top 2 but a guy who is pretty tight pushes, I think he may have raised pf with a 5..."

and I in no way think he has the 5 RISEorfall, I'm worried about trip Aces or Ks, but in that case I would have expected a rereraise pf,

It was at £25 max NL I had about £40, he had about £30

you're worried he has AA or KK? fold and stop playing poker. you're playing scared and you'll just lose money.

Also, if you want real responses and not a bunch of people telling you this belongs in the bad beat section, delete the results. Stop with he pushed the turn and ask what you should do. 99% of people will tell you to call, though.

on a side note...NOFX sucks.

But they're coming to ATL soon and I'll probably end up seeing them anyway.

no, it doesn't beat a full house. 3 pair does beat trips though, if the starting hand with 2 pair is better than the starting hand with trips. And it's the second tuesday of the month. And it's after the first hour you've been playing. And if it's not raining outside....
