KDawgCometh 2
i'm calling that river. This is something that I've been learning to do recently. I've had a couple of 2p2ers that I respect rail me, and in a uber short handed situation like this, if I'm calling the turn, I'm calling the river. I think that you should've three bet the flop there also
Abbaddabba 0
Why even call the turn?SB called two cold and donked the turn. That's gotta be worrying for anyone who has something that doesnt have you drawing slim. It's a protected pot, so the button is almost never semi bluffing.
looshle 6
Even if you want to defend calling the first bet on the turn, theres no way you can call the turn raise from the button.

Three bet the flop, and see what he does; if he caps, I prob call and fold on the turn if I don't imporve. MAKE HIM DEFINE HIS HAND. The turn is your most important decision; your either sticking with the hand or ur giving it up. Something else you might try is raising the turn; it's the same as calling him down, but if he 3-bets, let the hand go. If he just calls, he will prob check the river and u can do the same. You had a monster hand on the flop three-handed and you need to find out where you stand.
screech 0
I agree that not 3-betting this flop was a mistake. I was thinking about all the hands that hit this board hard, and all the draws that would fastplay, leaving me in no man's land, but I can still go into check/call mode if button caps. My plan at the time was to lead at any non scare card, and check out the action if a scare card hits. SB kinda threw a wrench in that plan when he let out. My best play would have been to fold right there. Folding the second time around is probably a good idea too. Even if I make my gutshot, I may end up splitting with SB (button doesn't have an ace), and 1 of my T's is likely out, reducing my odds. Implied odds when a T hits are pretty lousy. 12.5:1 probably isn't enough, even closing the action.Raising the turn is interesting, but I don't think it accomplishes much. I don't see better hands folding too often, and I have to call a 3-bet because of my gutshot.Once I make it to the river, I don't see how my hand can possibly hold up. Even though it's 3-handed, I think I played it right.

Whether you spike two pair or trips, it doesn't change your relative hand strength. That is why I call that river with how you played it
jayboogie 0
I'd 3-bet this flop. I think you should fold this turn though, with the way this board is connected, a straight is highly likely and 2 pair is possible too. However if you call the turn, calling the river is a must. I think you should fold on the turn, however since you didn't I'd pay of the bet on the river. You are most certainly beat, but you have a guy who just jumped into a HU game. He must like playing short handed, and I would try to accomplish two things here. First, i get a line on how he plays whatever hand he has. Secondly I'd call trying to give the impression that you are a call station, and he needs to bet weak hands for value. There is the slim chance he likes to ram and jam flush draws, I'd just want to see.
