Hello Everyone I'm currently Multi Tabling a lot. I was looking for anyone's advice as to whether getting a second monitor is worth it... I have never dual monitored for poker before but it seems to me as if it would be well worth it, I figure I could place 3 UB tables (or 6 if I use both my accounts) and ontop of that do multi table at PokerStars while having one up at PokerMountain. The main reason I wan't 2 monitors is for Poker Tracker, so I can easily be updating and reacting to my table without having things popping up ontop of each other.Does anyone here dual-monitor? I've also asked in RGP and 2+2 but I prefer this forum :D

it's worth it, especially if you have $1200 to drop on a pair of dell or samsung 1600x1200 LCDs [del 2001fp or whatever its called].If you don't plan on playing more than 4 tables at a time and typically don't do anything aside from light IMing on the side, don't bother. 1600x1200 is key, tho. if you get a CRT, make sure it will do this resolution at 100hz. if you get an LCD, don't waste money on anything smaller than 20"

Dont waste money on anything smaller than 20?Its my experience that 19 inches is the best buy with LCD's I have a 19 inch CRT right now and im looking to add a 19 inch LCD off the bat, I looked at the dual monitor packages but they overprice them. I'll be going w/ one LCD and one CRT off the bat, is that a problem or will that work?I'll have 2 19'' from the looks of it. It will be worth the money I will have PokerTracker, MSN/AIM/ICQ. FCP, 2+2, PokerTracker and RGP Forums up, Articles I'm working on, GameTime+ For Poker Tracker and im looking at starting with 6 tables (3 UB and 3 PStars with perhaps a PokerMountain table but PokerTracker doesn't work with them yet).I have way too much stuff up when doing 3 tables on a single monitor. What's your experience with it and why should I go w/ a 20 inch over a 19 inch when the price difference is so large? Also for specification you said 1600X1200, whats the problem with going to say 1280X1040?Hope for some more responses thanks a lot. This is one I was looking at...http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-021-003&depa=1Blow it up... Tell me what's wrong with that one lol thanks.

4 tables fit on a 1600x1200 desktop with no overlap. The dell is about $600 if you hunt down the always-available online coupons. It's honestly worth it to buy one of these now, as you won't have the desire to replace it with anything for at least 3 years. It's a standout product, price/performance-wise.-adam

Exactly. If you plan on 4 tabling regularly... you NEED 1600 x 1200. Makes a tremendous difference. But that's my opinion.Don't cut corners on the monitor, this is the least upgraded component of a computer system typically and you should invest a little more in it because of that fact.Second the Dell / coupon recommendation.
