I have it on hold from the library. Has anyone read it yet? I'm looking forward to reading his take on everything.

I read the book. I really liked it. I could not put it down. I was surprised at his gambling problems. I was also not aware of his splits with the prize money. CHECK IT OUT. VERY ENTERTAINING.I RECOMMEND IT. THE POKER INSITES AND HIS THOUGHT PROCESS DURING THE HANDS OF HTE TOURNY ARE ALSO GREAT.Take care,Chad

Can somebody tell me if this is the life story of Chris Moneymaker or a poker strategy guide written by him. If it is the former, I may decide to read it, if it is the latter I will just fall out of my chair laughing.

It's the life story/story of his 2003 journey. He goes through his childhood and college years, but only for 3 chapters or so, alternating with the first few days of the main event.Judging by the book, I think Moneymaker writing a book about strategy would be as funny to him as it would be to everyone else. He recognizes he is not an outstanding poker player. All in all, a very entertaining read.

The part about his post-WSOP celebration and him passing out at the airport gate and having to be dragged onto the plane is hilarious.
