Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9:diamond:, 9:club:.
UTG calls, MP calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (8 SB) J:diamond:, 2:heart:, T:spade: (4 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG calls, MP folds.

Turn: (5 BB) 8:club: (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: (7 BB) 5:spade: (2 players)
Hero checks...

Fine?

The only debate is turn and river...i think it's fine though. I like firing the second bullet here as it shows to anyone thinking about folding that we mean business.

I think your check on the river is fine. The only logical hand that your opponent can have that you can beat is a busted straight draw and its unlikely he will call a bet with it unless he is a complete idiot. Betting the river would be a good example of a bet that can not possibly show a profit as it will only be called by a hand that beats yours
