The only logical hand that your opponent can have that you can beat is a busted straight draw and its unlikely he will call a bet with it unless he is a complete idiot. Betting the river would be a good example of a bet that can not possibly show a profit as it will only be called by a hand that beats yours Link to post Share on other sites
