This has gotten out of control.Yes. I have cheated.Me and a friend used to hold home games at our appartment. We would get 10 people together and clean up. Luckily, they never cought us. I have since, never cheated.I have learned that not cheating is bettering myself.Do I regret cheating? By no means.Do I feel bad for cheating? No. There are very few things that I feel bad for doing.I replied to a person saying The_stein was a scum bag for cheating. He blew up at the guy saying that he cheats because he can't beat the game.I replied: "I can beat the game. I've cheated. I'm going to lose alot of respect, but it's the truth. Get over it."There is no reason you should get upset because someone has done something wrong in the past. All of your attacks are useless. I know who I am, and I'm proud of me.

I believe, as a forum, we should wash our hands of this episode, no reason to put anyone up on a cross. They did something wrong, they know it, and have admitted it, now it is our time to accept it and let it go.

What I really liked, was all the topics that came up. "The cheaters-wrto4556 and the_stein""FCP and cheaters"

Its the mod mentality of the infomation age, the second something hits print anyone that doesn't agree with it will make their opinion heard, and those not strong enough to have an opinion with nod their heads in agreement.

man I was living in Richmond with my fiance at the time. She was finishing up school so we lived on campus but in an apartment. There was another chick named Jessica there.. man I'm telling you, infidelity isn't even a word to begin to describe it. I would've had it 30 ways from sunday if I had even the remote possibility. This Jessica.. I'm telling you, she was hotter than .. man, I honestly don't think I've personally seen anyone that cute. The smile, the laugh, the body, the humor. And these big brown eyes. omfg her hair was never messed up either. Man, I'm talking *hot*.Anyway, one night she was working late shift and I was out on the front stoop drinking my corona talking with the dude who lived down in 2. Jess comes out and man, I was *THIS* close to tapping that. No lie, I was going bonkers. But, for whatever reason, it didnt' happen. My fiance and I have parted our ways.....I have absolutely NO idea why I'm sharing this. lol
Suddenly I turned around
And she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists
And flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully
And took my crown of thorns.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

rofl me neither
Suggestive thinking, causing your perspective to change

And when I need to free my mind
I can find, satisfaction in a bag of weed
Everything I need, leave it to the trees
It can make me feel better, and every day I wake
Niggas rollin' up blunts, and mo blunts, and mo blunts
And I keep a case of Swisher Sweets in the trunk
So when I'm rollin', smokin', chokin', just floatin

Hey wrto,I read all the posts and I think it was more than you saying that you had cheated and people should get over it. The problem that I saw was that the stein said, “I don't cheat all the time, gimme a break, and its not like I knew anyone elses cards. Sometimes I do this to get an extra edge”and“I don't care if you think Im a cheater, I play poker to make money as well as have fun. If I can get an edge by what you call cheating I will.”You responded to his post with, “good post.”It doesn't take much reading comprehension skill to understand that the stein wasn't just talking about the past, he was talking about the present and the future as well. By stating, "good post" as a response to his statements, you were condoning that behavior in the present and future.Since you and the stein do play in the Negreanu Open, I believe it is perfectly valid for people to question you both.I posted a response in one of the many threads on this topic and your response to me was, "Who the **** are you?" Well, I am a member of this forum and I have just as much right to post here as you do. Do you agree with that?I have read a lot of your posts. I've learned some things from you and I've also thought you could learn a few things as well. A few other members and I posted in another one of the many threads on this topic some things I thought were pretty cool things for you to look at. I think the ones with good advice were mostly directed at you as opposed to the stein because I think people generally think you are a positive contributor to FCP. You act a little immature at times and some were just pointing that out, yet you completely ignored these posts, except one, where you said you almost felt bad.I say, ignore the ones where people are just bashing and take a look at the ones that are trying to give you some good advice. Funny how sometimes we spend our energy on the things we should ignore and ignore the things we should pay attention to.

Well, I for one would play with wrto4556 for now. (Again something that may never happen - so like before is moot). All this did make a big hubbub with threads and posts though. It is nice to see the forum mature a little too.

well i havent read the previous threads on this topic. but i think its totally lame for you(wrto) to be like well i cheated, and i dont regret it, or i cheated and i dont believe it was wrong. or i cheated, thats just me, get over it. this doesnt make sense to me.its ok to make mistakes, but its also ok to have some regret. just cause daniel is always saying in his blogs that he doesnt want to change the person he is cause he's confident with himself and doesnt regret his past, doesnt mean you have to mindlessly try to sound just like him. cheating is something you should ALWAYS regret and NEVER do for one simple reason: if everyone had the same attitude and basically condoned cheating, then the entire game of poker would eventually be ruined.here we have something so beautiful as the game of poker, and people are rushing out to screw it up as fast as possible. yes you can ruin it for everybody, go ahead and exert your power! all youre really doing is making life a little worse for everybody. i think im too angry to even read the other threads, i dont wanna explode right now. this makes me SICK..........

I do agree that we need to police cheating strongly for our scene to do better. But, this stuff happens - how frequently? no one can be sure - but cheating happens. If I let it bother me this much I would have to stop playing! :D But, I'd like to know what would happen if someone was caught cheating at a poker room. We saw a little of what was threatened on a TILT episode recently, and a whole lot of old posts dug up. I feel it is the poker room's interest to offer a fair game - integrity in the dealing and shuffing of cards - this is what I PAY a not insignificant rake for. I imagine something like "Rounders" where Lester 'Worm' Murphy (Ed Norton) is pummeled has happened. I just haven't seen it.

DanielI would recommend alerting the PokerMountain staff to these individuals and have their accounts removed.Regardless of their intentions on that site, it can only be a deturant to new people who are coming here, signing up for PM, reading these posts and then seeing either of these people playing there.Damn, now if we could only get all the other cheaters out there to stand up, life would be so much easier. Unfortunately, they don't teach stupidity, you have to be blessed with it from birth. We got lucky with these two.

Basically, I think the message is this - don't cheat and we need to eliminate any known cheaters. I think casinos should broadcast their rules for cheaters - and they should ban them for life - despite the loss in action. I believe most cheats would not be allowed in a reputable game. But, the other foul that was done today revolved around acknowledging cheating without remorse. It basically said cheating was okay and that was not okay with the majority of vocal poker players. Saying you cheat in public, only acknowledges yourself as a deluded cheat hack at the low limits. I know a lot of people have done it (maybe just at Monopoly!) but most are not willing to broadcast it for good reasons.again, the goal of a poker room is integrity first. it's not like the days where people dealt themselves. this is one hurdle with online play.for this reason I am quite interested in Poker Mountain because of its small size. I can trust the integrity of that game more, not just based on its host, but also on the players I see - just like in my local poker room. The side benefit may be I might play better with more information available to me.
