I once read, "You cant outplay bad players" And damnit I keep trying to do it. I play at my friends home game. We play very low stakes NL hold em. Im talkin .05-.10 cent blinds. We usually have 4-6 players. So I have been playing over there for about 6 months and know they players pretty well. But ever since I got back from playing really good people in Las Vegas I always lose all of my chips to this player who I know is inferior. Here are a couple of hands thats really stand out in my mind. I will just refer to him as player 11)I am in the cutoff seat in a 5 handed game. I look down and see pocket 8's. I raise 3x(which is 30 more cents) the big blind. Player 1 is one seat to my right and had already limped in. Now he re-raises 2 dollars. Now I know that he either has something really good or is just pure bluffing. He has more chips than I do so I dont really want to commit my whole stack to this one mediocre hand. With any other player I would probably fold this hand, but this player overplays any king. will raise and re-raise uncontrollably with any king. So I go all in (about 10 dollars more) and he quickly calls with K10 offsuit. Spikes a ten on the flop and I lose. 2)This hand happened today. Same kinda thing. I am in the small blind with pocket 6's in a 4 handed game. Player 1 is in the cutoff seat or one to the right of the button, and just limps in. I raise 3x the big blind. Big blind calls and Player 1 raises 2 dollars. Now I know this is prolly a coin flip situation so I raise another 5 bucks to an all-in. Big blind calls and so does player one, who has pocket kings. So I lose again. I mean he knows that I am an agressive player but I dont see how you could limp in with pocket kings in a 4 handed game. 3)This also happened today and I went on tilt after it. I am on the button with 7h8s and limp in player 1 is in the big blind and raises 2.5x(or .25 cents) the BB. He never raised this amount so I immediatly thought something was up. flop came 9h6h8c so I had middle pair and an up and down striaght draw. Player 1 bets .75 and i call. next card is the 10c, so now i have made my straight. player one bets out 2 bucks and I raise another 4 bucks and he quickly calls. The river comes Qh, so the board looks like this9h6h8c10cQh player one goes all in for 4 dollars more. Sure enough he flips over AhKh for the nut flush after I call. I was pretty sure that he would have folded a flush draw after the big raise that I put in on the turn. The only card that I was worried about was a Jack cause it would have given him a better straight, but there was 12 bucks in the pot and only 4 more to call.So I guess I am having trouble adjusting to playing styles. Because in Vegas when I had to factor in stack size, position, and all that I was doing really good. I was up $700 for the whole trip playing at Binions 1-2NL cash game. But now back at the home game I am down a huge amount over the past few weeks. So whats a good way to get back on the right page.
why cant i beat bad players anymore????

You shouldn't be playing pocket sixes to a re-raise that is 20x the big blind. You shouldn't call any raise with 7/8 off-suit.I'm not sure it is bad beats you need to worry about.
