Ok, I just finished 74th in the 16K Full Tilt guarantee. Top 72 cash. I was at average in chips with 75 left and I was dealt AK. Ended up all in preflop with KK. Trying to be aggressive and picked the wrong time. Any tips on play close to the money?? I swear every tournament I am in lately I start to blow it right around the money line.
bubble blues....

How was the betting pre-flop, and what kind of player were you up against?
How many chips did they have, and how many did you have? What were the blinds?

LMAO!!
Try be chip leader two tourney's in a row with 20 players left, and losing your entire stack in two hands, with kings getting cracked by tens, then tens getting cracked by j,9 off, who are these donks that can justify the call??? i dont know but it sucks a lot worse then the bubble

The serious answer is you want to try to pick free chips off of the relatively short stacks as you get near the bubble. People who have 4-5 times the BB do not want to go out without cashing, they will typically fold everything but the nuts.
The other big stacks and medium stacks may be doing the same thing so be aware of them.
You really want to avoid big confrontations here, nobody is going to go to war here unless the think they have it. If someone is playing back at you be even more cautious then normal.
I would avoid attacking the reall short stacks or the big stacks. The really short stacks may make a move with any 2 cards, and the big stacks may try to catch something and get lucky.
