Actuary 3
free sd.ainec imoballsy turn raise btw.I'm in call down mode after the flop raiseIf he checks the Turn I bet, otherwise calling down and hoping for AKs or aggressive 99/JJedit: well... I guess it closer than I thought..he could still have 99/JJ, I jsut don't think he calls often enoguh with what we beat, and more likley slowed down with AKs (which he folds now) or wimped out with QQ-AA, fearing a set of T's

CoranMoran 0
Bet the river. His check tells me you have him beat. more likley slowed down with AKs (which he folds now)I don't think he folds AK to one more bet in this big pot.If he has played it this aggressively so far, he is probably the type to call on the river.wimped out with QQ-AA, fearing a set of T'sThe fact that we didn't cap the flop and didn't raise the turn should tell him we do not have a set.If he could beat QQ, I think he bets this river. Conclusion:He has overplayed his hand (AK,JJ,99).You have him beat.He will call your value bet.--cm

If the villain is passive, checking behind is probably correct, whereas if he is an aggressive player you should bet the river.
Mattnxtc 0
i would tend to check this river too but im workin to change that...theres no logical reason for him to check a hand that beats you so i think this is a pretty easy value bet

Mattnxtc 0
getting 12.5-1 i really think ud have to call..but that would be a painful call..I dont expect many people to make this move though and since u havent said he was overly tricky i wouldnt expect him to make this move either
screech 0
easiest bet ever. AA/KK never check here unless they plan to c/r. AK will usually call. Bet!.

Actuary 3
CMI disagree with your logic that he's more likely to call with AK since he played it so aggressively so far. Generally, that would indicate a fold now. My thoughts were first based on Rise typo, where he raised turn and was called. I thought one reason Villan may have cheked a better hand was he feared a set of T's. Now that I see we just called the turn, I have less info about Villans handI still check behind. No reads on Villan, so maybe I'm assuming he's smart, and I shouldn't..But he *knows* we don't have AA/KK with our flop non-cap.He may figure to get no value from a River bet, since no draws hit. So, Villan checks, in hopes that we will bet our missed draw, or a weaker pair, then he c/r.We have to be good 2/3 times here..I check.

screech 0
I still check behind.Thats why you're a SLAP! No way he ever checks this river. Ever. Well maybe sometimes, but it's rare.AK/JJ/99 or some other weird shit he decided to cap with all play like this a lot more than AA/KK. Even if he never calls with AK (which I think is a gross underestimation), we still have value.Occams razor. He checks because he wants to see sd cheaply. End of story. Actuary 3
Screech..I could see you posting this hand as your own, rationalizing a turrn check "What is he checking with, he knows I don't have AA/KK, I think I'm walking into a c/r"I think I saw something like that once.My response assumed our Villan to be the 2% of tricky/smart palyers trying to get an extra bet here. We are aggressive (I know rise is) and he knows we bet at it, and don't have AA/KK.I'll hold my ground... stubbornly.... and wrongly, likely

Maybe Screech canYeah yeah yeah. It's a deep bluff sometimes. Like 1/1000 times. He expects you to call. I'd be more worried about the times he does this with JJ for value. But given the pf and flop action, this is rare.
RISEorFall 0
He had AA. I really thought about betting for about the whole time. The whole hand felt like Aces or Kings to me, but I think screech is right and more often than not this is an overplayed AK line, up until the check/raise.I figure he does this often enough with JJ or another QQ that I should call the check/raise, but I was hating myself as I did.Is calling down after his PF cap better than raising the flop? Most people won't cap with AK. I don't guess it's wa/wb because if they do have AK then I'm not wa, but I don't see AK capping pf most of the time. or is that read dependent?
