10 Handed, pretty loose table. Button is a very odd player. Old guy who plays tight then all of a sudden limps 73s. He also has called or 3 bet everyone of my raises. BB is new. I dont think so. If you're thinking about isolating the maniac and taking the Button out of the picture, usually the flop is the place to do it.I dont like raising the turn with just Ace high and a player left to act behind me.

Without a read on BB, I'd fold preflop to the cap.Knowing that he's a maniac, I'd call preflop and raise the flop.

I like this line alot, except that I'm probably too stubborn to fold pre-flop even without the read. That said, I think I'm folding the flop if I don't know BB is a maniac. Knowing this, I think you could safely raise the flop to isolate him and have a decent chance of winning with AQ.

Knowing that he's a maniac, I'd call preflop and raise the flop.

At this point I have no idea what button will do. When the Button just calls the flop, I can be somewhat confident I can knock him away from a bricked turn. Do I really want to be raising into the button on the flop? He hasn't shown any weakness at this point.
