CO posts a blind of $3. 2 folds, Hero calls.Flop: (11 SB) 8:club:, A:diamond:, Q:heart: (3 players)Hero bets...I'm not comfortable that this is best.Obviously, I'm hoping AK is out...

I dont like it.With your position in relation to the preflop raiser I want to checkraise this flop and trap the CO for bets. Having mp1 raise this flop with AK and fold CO because its 2 cold to him would suck. Also since mp1 is passive a bet into him on this flop is going to cost us bets vs hands like KK as a passive player is likely to just call down.

who wants to check/call the flop and check/raise the turn? That's probably bad...I'm down about 40BB in the past couple hours (it's leveled off quite a bit since earlier) but i still feel like i have no idea what im doing.

Check/raise mate. With 2 opponents, you aren't worried about protecting your hand from silly gutshots. Treat your hand like the powerhouse it is. Build a pot. Extract value.

yeah...I hate that I'm fading into the "c/r marginal hands" "fast play monsters" predictable pattern. My thought was MP would raise and CO calls since he's pretty loose. Then I would c/r the turn.Vilan always have Aces when I have JJ :club:..Obviously, with 2 Aces accounted for, I needed to give MP a chance to bet his TT etc.

This is ok if we switch MP and CO personalities.

I'm actually not opposed to this bet because there are 3 players at the flop. He may have lost out on one BB by leading, but if the AK is out, he may in turn pick up 2-3 bb when the guy goes to the river thinking he's hot stuff. It depends on how frisky you're feeling really. The C/R is the safe play, but the lead may net a bit more in return if you're willing to take the risk.

If AK is out, a c/r will probably net more BB's because you are likely to get 3-bet on the flop. You also trap the other player for an extra bet or 2 of he has a peice of the flop. Either way, c/ring makes more money here than a bet/3-bet.
