I think you can cap the flop and raise the turn

I think this is why maniacs don't go broke as quickly as they should.

Are you agreeing with me or saying my line is too passive? I've never used PT so I'm not familar with exactly how maniacal these stats are.

Not really.Depends what kind of maniac. I would normally cap the flop and call down if he leads the turn.

Well not a full on maniac. Semi-maniac

Well he was in for the flop like 18/20 times, raised 50 percent of time time preflop, so about 9 hands (not all of them), and was considerably aggro postflopEdit: oops 10 or 11 hands not 9

Once he 3-bets the flop, I figure that while he could have almost anything (such that we can't even consider folding), I figure the most likely hands for him to play this way are A-high (~130 hands, some chance), a pocket pair (~40 hands, good chance), a hand that beats us (say, something like QT or better, given his PF 3-bet, which would be ~60 hands), or a flush draw (another ~45 hands). So I think a flop cap is a good idea - I think we have considerably more than 50% equity against his range.I think a turn raise would be a mistake. It allows him to fold his A-highs and to 3-bet his best hands, and to slow down with his flush draws. If he were crazier (a postF AF of 4 is high, but not psycho), raising the turn would probably be best, because he'll often 3-bet worse hands than ours.
