playing .10/.20 on Royal Vegas i catch AA in middle position. calls all the way to me, I raise and everyone calls. Flop: 10d 9d A (first time ive flopped a set in the last 30 times ive had a pocket pair -- no im not joking either)checks to me I check hoping to trap (button is an agressive retard and im counting on him to bet here and on the turn) and button bets FP calls folds to me i smooth call and folds the rest of the way Turn: 10c (can we say score?) FP checks to me i check to button again couting on him to bet which he does, fp calls i check raise goes on till cap. Fold: QdFp checks, i bet button raises... (im thinking he has maybe trip tens but anythign is possible with this guy) FP folds and we go onto cap it.... im already celebrating the win knowing for sure my Aces full is gonna take it down)Showdown:i get really pissed and thought there was a software malfunction for a minute when my hand gets mucked and pot goes to button... then i see chat.... guy had J8d and rivered his straight flush..... afterwords the guy types in the chat.... "i didnt even realize i had a straight flush possibility" arg....afterwords i thought about how i should have played this hand differently and thought maybe betting the flop straight out but he still woulda called and/or raised the whole way down in my opinion.... so im thinking i just got unlucky?
good story and lucky (not really bad) beat

Just curious, is this limit or no-limit? I presume the former, since you mentioned capping the pot at one point...In your position, the two diamonds on the flop scares me, and I'm either going to lead out and bet it, or check/raise, hoping I can chase out any diamond draws (Note that thisis due mainly to the fact that trying to get cute and slowplay usually leads to disaster for me). In this instance, though, I doubt it would have mattered. And I occasionally have done the "oh hey, I made a huge hand on the river without even realizing i had that draw", so I can't fault him too much for that.
