PrtyPSux 0
Hey Daniel can macs play on Poker Mountain (with out Virtual PC)? because you have no idea how much Pokerroom SUCKS,, the software crashes like every day. Anyway if it isn't mac compatible that is something worth considering, im sure you would be able to get everyone with a mac to sign up.
CavemanDoctor 0
Question about PokerMountain. Is the 100% bonus still going? I have close to 500 on UB and if I can make that into 1000 for not doing anything, I'm all for it. Also, if it's still applicable, how does it work? Do you get the bonus released into your account once you play a certain amount of raked hands? etc.
DanielNegreanu 141
Well right off the bat you get a free $25 entry in the Bellagio satellite. To get your 100% deposit bonus you have to play a certain number of hands in live games or Quick Start tournaments. Other sites offer a similar promotion, but NOWHERE is it easier to get then on Poker Mountain.

Marcstar 0
It's always good to hear about sites taking care of players. So far, besides the obvious lack of players I have not really heard any thing bad about the site. Sure some poeple will always have an opinion regarding software and what not but to me if the software is fairly fast I don't care much about anything else. From what I've seen the only thing I don't really like is how the sit and goes start you with 800 in chips and how the blinds go up every 10 hands. Seems too fast for me.
Marcstar 0
So an update, I deposited $500 last friday and have logged some good sessions. There are a few bugs that need to be worked out but overall I like the site and the promotions are great.
pawnstarr 0
If the rumors are true and PM is about to embark on a marketing campaign - then I would like to advise them to make depositing easier! I could go in to all the reasons, call it consulting - and then be able to write off poker as an expenses on my taxes. But I think I'll just whine here for a while instead.I found it extremely frustrating - and just hopped back over to PS where I had the roll and the games were aplenty. Marcstar 0
pawnstarr,What problems did you have depositing? I used neteller. Once my funds finally got to neteller I went to PM and deposited and it was instant. Pretty simple.
pawnstarr 0
I was able to do it - same way you did. I moved money from another site - but there was a couple days lag. However, in order to attract (and steal market share) new players, they need to address the need for immediate gratification. When on any of the other major sites - I can deposit from a CC with no fee's, it's a considerable disadvantage. It doesn't matter that it CAN be done, what matters is can it be done in the easiest way possible? It's the same as giving someone a free card. Do you really want to give that new customer any reason at all to go to the competition? I suspect the PM folks are monitoring feedback in this "test" period - and my interest lies in the fact that I want the newbies to play and find the "cost of admission" is worth the thrill they get. The casual player and their regular contribution, puts more money in the pool for those of us who want to be profitible. You may discuss!
Marcstar 0
There are a lot of sites that it's hard to deposit on and you end up having to use Neteller. Many of the credit cards people have won't do transactions with gaming sites....so that's not really the sites fault. PM is working on a system that makes it easy to deposit without using neteller or firepay. It's not up and running yet.
ChuckSty 0
what kind of system are you talking about a new credit card system or what? just curious? becasue i hate using neteller and firepay, if i could just swipe the card it would be great. would that mean if you won your credit card debt would get paid off? Are they going to be launching a significant marketing campaign?Cheers
Marcstar 0
Have no clue about their marketing but to me whenthey came out with this latest set of promotions it was enough to get some people to finally sign up. I know they have been advertising in cardplayer for like 3 months now. They kind of jumped the gun on that though because they were advertising before they were even a cash site. daddypoker23 0
daniel i played at PM for a good 70 hrs the past two weeks to try to make it in the 10,000 sit and go tourney and i came out in 13 place with 7800 SP. and i was really shock that first place had over 16,000 SP.. that guy had to play a good 160 hrs... wow i thought i was a addict:) you should of made it a two table tourney... yea i know am being a poor loser but dang i wish u had this promotion in the summer time were i didnt have school or tennis practice and could of really did some really long sessions. peace out joel
Marcstar 0
daddypoker23,I only deposited a little over a weekago now so I had no chance at making the top ten. most of those guys that made it were playing 2 or 3 tables at a time for like 8 or more hours a day. It was kind of funny because when the contest was over you could really tell all those people were taking a break yesterday.Sorry you did not make it but at least you'll be able to play in most or all of the points tournament freerolls. I added it up and I think its like 12k in points and you can enter all of them. I got like a little over 4k in points now.
Bigbossfan 0
Haven't visited here in a while and just saw the 100% deposit bonus. Am interested in trying PM out, but what are the tables like...i.e., availability of games. I like playing 10 dollar SNGs, and 1-2 limit. Currently I"m playing at GP, and I find it difficult to get into one of these games due to lack of players. Thanks in advance.BBF
