well, I just went through and deleted everything in my collection from my pre-soulseek days, as well as some poorly tagged shit. I am finding lots of retarded folder names, id3 tags, etcIt is way more time-consuming than it should be... my beats are not numerous.
I got tired of logging in and out on my iPod. I made this so I could stay logged in on both my PC and this.

thats the way my old computer from college was. just massive amounts of random, unorganized shit. thats why I made a vow when I got my new computer that everything would always be kept nice, neat, and organized. its much nicer.also, I just checked out two m83 records and wow, not at all what I expected, but this shit is all right. its really different than most anything I've ever heard.

Dead Cities, Red Seas, and Lost Ghosts is a pretty great album. It's weird and rock-and-rolly for an electronica album. I think I read somewhere that Anthony Gonzalez is really into shoegaze (which is obvious on some of the tracks on that album, especially "Noise"). I rock to M83 reasonably often. There's always been a lot on my iPod, and I almost never skip the tracks when they come up. I also, until the new album leaked a little while ago, rarely decided, "You know what I need? Some M83." Though that's not at all reflective of Gonzo's sweetness quotient (130-140).Wang

on the quasi-electronica tip, ive been rocking Squarepusher's ultravisitor lately. his layering of all the sounds is amazing, for that much to be going on in a song but still have it together and moving well is just sick.also, been listening to a lot of Del the Funky Homosapien/ Deltron 3030. and Ratatat remixes v.1. anyone cop vol. 2? im downloading it off their site now.

I've been laying a little low, trying to catch up on some tax stuff I'd extended and some books I've been stockpiling, but Dutch has come back to shower you in crude, biased, unlearned opinions:* Sufjan Stevens: I would let him have me. This is not hyperbole. I actually like his music enough that I think I'd let him penetrate me. I've chosen to not create a more elaborate and humorous scenario or description because I'm 100% not kidding. Call me, Sufjan.* Wolf Parade: I find myself torrent-searching them every few hours, hoping their new record leaks. Does anyone know of a better source for this kind of thing?* Tapes N' Tapes -- even the one people liked -- is meh.* The Dodos is a lot cooler than I originally felt.* I may have mentioned, but the new(ish) Elf Power is boring as twat.* Upon review, Why?'s Alopecia is my current third-favorite album of the year, to the best of my recollection (behind MGMT and M83). * Ragged Wood (Fleet Foxes LP) is a little disappointing, as I believe Strat noted.* Grizzly Bear is ****ing freight. I really, really love them.* 69 Songs is incredible. That's all I can remember being too lazy to post the last couple days. Anyone aware of some awesome hip-hop this year? Not a whole lot has rung my cherries, thusly.

I keep thinking the same thing every day and it never comes true. The anticipation on this new dcfc album is killing me.

i still really like their first one, they threw us in a trench and put a monument on top. still my favorite of the 'dance-punk' or whatever you want to call it of the early 00's.

I have bootlegs of all of their new stuff (save 1 song that I can't identify from the official track listing) from multiple concerts I saw them from 07. Good quality, it's on my mac so if you're into it I might be able to upload it some place.

I'm not a huge fan of live bootlegs, but I'll let you know if I get desperate. Doomtree seems sweet from their MySpace songs; I'm downloading False Hopes (it should be done before I can submit this post). I've been hip-hop-starved, lately. Dutch need rhymes. Yes, Cut Copy is crunked up.

I'm a little mixed on Liars. some of the songs are good (I got Liars - Liars), while some are a little too "animal collectivey" for me. we'll see if it grows on me.I listened to Atmosphere - Lucy Ford this weekend and that was really nice and hip hoppy. I enjoyed it a lot.also, I really haven't been able to stop listening to pinkerton and of montreal hissing fauna since at least last wednesday. i hate when this happens because I end up wearing them out.
