Radiohead is amazing in concert. Probably the best thing I have ever seen live. I caught them a few years ago when they were touring with Beta Band and Kid Koala. Beta Band was a hell of an opening act too, I must say.........I plan on catching them at Bonnaroo this summer. Radiohead and 90,000 music fans, should be a good time.

o man, I just don't know what to say. I'm catching up and I'm seeing people try to pimp out DMB big time, no, cater beauford isn't a sick drummer, he's aight and Dave matthews is a horrible guitarist and is an okay song writer. As someone who was a music major, my ears want to bleed when I hear them play and as a follower of the jam band scene for the past 10 years, I disdain DMB with a passion. If you want a killer drummer, listen to chris martin from MMW. Well, just look at my sig for which band I prefer in the genre overall, I am also very much a big Umphreys fanlately, I've been listening to my freddie jones band disc a lot and have been listening to the RHCP songs off their unreleased album that got leaked out on the innernet

since dolphy never led a working band, I can't think of a bass clarinet led band off the top of my head. I wouldn't doubt that some regional guy has/does do it. I know that Ken Vandermaark plays the Bass Clarinet, but he also plays the Tenor Sax and Bb Clarinet, so he would be the only guy off the top of my head that I can think of that leads a working group that plays the Bass Clarinet consistently

Don't need to be a music major to know that DMB is hideous. Also, if you lik Radiohead, check out Aphex Twin and Autechre. Thom Yorke hiomself cites them for Radiohead's 'new' sound, a sound that's been around 15 years.

True, he alsos cites Sigur Ros' "Agaetis Byrjun" as a heavy influence on their new sound. All are great. Also, I have been going crazy on the Elliot Smith lately.

I still have the list of 64, so we're gonna need to take a look and see who to add. My only request is that emo stays the hell away from it :club:

no, you definetly don't, but for people to talk about their instrumental abilities without ever really having studied musical performance, I as someone who did, find it silly. What can I say, I also like to puff my chest out when I can

I like Speaking in Tongues a little more, but Remain in Light is a great album. For anyone who hasn't really listened to very much Talking Heads, I highly encourage you to check out the Stop Making Sense DVD.

Check out Can's Tago Mago and Kraftwerk's Computer World as well for their Radiohead influence. Can't forget the Talking Heads influence either....
