am i maturing or is this just bad

Without a read, cap PF. Most of the time it's something dumb like J8o etc.Turn fold is really bad, call down from there. This can easily be Kx. It could also be something completely retarded given that he LRR'd

sorry dude but this is very bad.cap pre-flop.flop is good.bet and 3-bet the turn.if he caps the turn you'll have to re-evaluate the river.a big misconception at low limit holdem is that you're going to save bets by making "big laydowns".this kind of thinking will cost you money in the long run.

With no read, I'm at least calling down.I don't like your play on the flop. I don't mind just calling the reraise preflop, but when you flop top pair here, you need to try for a checkraise for more information. It's a much stronger play than betting out, as doing so put you on the defensive to any raise, or even a call, as you may then be worried about him slowplaying a monster. If you had capped preflop, betting out is the right play, with the intention of 3-betting every time.Typical LPP at this level, he's either slowplaying AA, KK. or just hit his K8s on the turn.

why cap preflop with AKo? why 3 bet the turnnormally i would play this very aggressively, or at lesst call untill showdown.but PF limp reraise just threw me off big time.that is a play i've never ever done before, and i dont understand why anyone woudl do it. it only announces that you got a big PP

Meh.I don't like the cap here. This is one of those strong first in LRR's from EP. If this was a multiway pot, and he LRR's second or third in, I'd cap due to the added value from the other players, as well as the fact his LRR is more than likely bullshit.
why 3 bet the turn
To spew. I think a fold is much better than a 3-bet. I probably call down cuz I'm a curious human and we really aren't giving anything up by calling down.

Too get more money in the pot with a strong hand. I don't do it often, but I will if the situation is right. For example, if you expect that your raise will fold everyone, but also expect that a limp will entice someone to raise.
it only announces that you got a big PP
Which is perfect when you want to feign strength fold a strong hand later.
