As a new member to this site, and a new member to the poker world, I have seen a limited number of bad beats; though they are everfresh in my memory. They include such stories of catching the 2-outer on the river, hitting runner runner for the flush, etc. However, I think these are the stories that add to the flavour, and make poker one of the best games on earth because of its unreliability. If aces were going to win every hand, which some argue they should (including myself, from time to time :-) ), poker wouldn't be as fun to play or to watch. All in all, poker is a game that is taking the world by storm. It continues to amaze me how many people are beginning to play, from low limit to 500 dollar buy in (at 19, thats a boatload of cash!). Being Canadian, there is not much to do during the wintertime when you are not of legal age, so its beginning to occupy alot of my freinds' time!
