$50NL, nowhere near the money.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxButton (t3845)Hero (t5556)BB (t7497)UTG (t6320)UTG+1 (t6460)MP1 (t5650)MP2 (t11395)CO (t10029)Preflop: Hero is SB with K:diamond:, A:club:. 2 folds.Final Pot: t5825The guy seemed like a decent player. I didn't have 100% of myself in this tournament so I was paying an unusual amount of attention and didn't really see why he would just randomly start tilting that hand. The blinds are about to increase to 200/400, but wow, should I have gambled here?

I def wouldnt. He probably has a middle PP, but you have nothing committed, wait for a better spot.

I would fold here too - you're behind any PP and have almost nothing invested in the pot.

I think it depends on how much I want to gamble in this tourney. If I want to gamble and try to get a huge stack in this one, I call and hope for AQ and/or a misclick :club: However, I think the "correct" play is to fold and wait as the blinds are not yet forcing you into action.

I actually would probably call. Admittedly I don't have too much experience at the 50 dollar level, but that bet just doesn't make sense with any hand. I think the chances that I'm up against aces or kings are outweighed by the chances that I'm up against an Ax that decided he needed to go to dinner or watch a movie, so he might as well get a huge stack or be out of the tourney. Note that at this stage I'm willing to take a coinflip if necessary...if you are not, I'd probably say fold.

I'm always willing to flip. This was just one of those rare occasions where I could give someone a range tight enough to fold AK preflop. I can't see the villain doing this with any hand I can beat, and I guess a few others think so, too.Nobody called him, so I guess we'll never knowif it was right. I went on to take 8th, which was not so fun after being in the top 3 for most of the last quarter of the tournament, losing two races and then getting it all-in dominated.I can understand your comments if we're discussing a $5 tournament, but it's pretty rare that I see an online player doing anything but playing seriously in a $50 tournament. Live poker is a different animal altogether, but the value of money goes up online for some reason.

I fold. If I had to guess you're up against AK or JJ. Overraises like this are very often AK or JJ.

I might start updating this again.

I meant that there is not much in the pot besides the villian's all-in bet. We're barely above 1-1 from a pot odds perspective and we're most likely behind.Poor choice of words on my part
