I've really tried to cut capping the flop after not betting/raising or 3-betting out of my game because I feel its pretty easy for good players to pick up that we are doing it because our equity is good and that we are most likely on a flush draw in these spots. mrdannyg 274 Posted January 1, 2006 Share Posted January 1, 2006 either one is fine as long as you dont fold.if the board was 952 instead i think 3-betting would be far better.duh.Congratulations on Arbitrary Post #5187.just kidding i love younice to have you back methinks.hand looks fine. i think folding the river, even with two behind you would be a mistake. it's pretty doubtful you're going to win the game, but the pot is far too big to fold. if someone raises behind you, then you have a tough (i.e. painful) fold.flop 3-bet is fine if the players behind you are passive and will be no more scared away by a 3-bet than they were by a 2-bet, but i think in general a 3-bet shuts out a lot of people that you might want in, since your overcards are probably not valuable.
