crazyIvan 0
Well, I obviously don't know what's installed in the computer. If there is a separate sound card, it may need to be reseated. Possibly dust, bad connection, etc.Other than that, I can't suggest much. Sorry.

I can't get sound to play on my friends computer and when I go under control panel/sounds and audoi devices it says there isn't an audio device. so anything I can download to get sounds to play or is this something I have to go buy, thanks for the help.press and hold the windows key and then press pause/break. This will bring up the system properties screen. Click the Hardware tab, then in the middle section of the window, click "Device Manager". Expand (that means click the plus) on the Sound, video and game controllers. If you see anything with a red X, right click it and click enable (or you might have to reinstall the drive). If you cant get this to work, reply with everything under this option listed.

theredpill99 0
hahaha.. this thread is awesome. If you or your friend installed the wrong sound drivers or whatever on your computer, then that can be a possible problem. I went to Microsoft's website to update stuff on my PC and I installed sound drivers that I thought were the right ones and I ended up losing sound on my PC so I did a system restore and it fixed it back to the way it was. Do this:Right Click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop or find "MY computer" somewhere in your Start Menu.Click on Properties. It should say "system properties" now in window that is opened. If not, you aren't in the right place. Then click on the "hardware" tab. Then click "Device Manager"Then find your Sound and Audio drivers. Double click it and it should open up and show all of your drivers. Then Right click on your Audio Driver and click "Update driver" and follow the directions to either re-install it or uninstall and re-install or update it and it should fix your problem.
