I really don't know why I'm complaining about this other than . . . I feel like complaining about this!Do you ever have those nights where you play and it seems you just can not lose a hand . . . you know those nights where you constantly are getting good playable hands and the flop is just perfect for your hand. I have had 3 or 4 weeks of that, virtually every night. Of course I lost some hands during that time but they were never really important hands . . . just some small ones. But, it seems when I had the nuts I had 2 or 3 people betting into me and I just would sit back and rake it in. Needless to say - I have been doing really well for a good month. A typical session would be something like this . . . Monday I sat down at a $1/$2 NL table with $100, played for 2 hours, and left with $323. Not bad for 2 hours worth of work.Anyway, last night I played for about 3 hours and was just dumbfounded about losing some of the hands I lost. I was losing to 2-outers on the river left and right. I felt like I was in the twighlight zone. I lost with trips a half dozen times. It was crazy. It was the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen!! The weird thing is that I was getting pretty good cards with good flops. Here is one example. I have KK on the button (sweet). 6 limpers to me I raise $5 to go. 2-callers. Flop comes 4 4 7. I figured this is a good flop for me. With a good raise pre-flop I figured I weed out anyone that could potentially hold a 4 in there hand. Thought maybe someone could play something like 7 8 suited which was OK. So anyway, both check to me. I throw a feeler bet out for $5. First guy calls, second guy raises to $15. Well this second guy was loose and aggressive and I knew he was trying to steal so I re-raise to $30. Oddly the first guy calls, second (Mr. loose aggressive) guy folds (that's what I thought!). I was concerned about the call from the first guy but didn't think he had a 4. I was now worried about pocket 7's. But then I thought he could have 9's, 10', J's or Q's. He couldv'e had Aces but I didn't think so. The turn is a 2. OK - good card. He checks I bet $3 (weak lead). He bites and raises to $6. Now he only had a couple more and I felt if he would have had the goods he would have went all-in there, so I re-raise him his remaining $2 something and he calls. River is a blank. I turn over my K's he turns over his A 4. Crap! Now this isn't a terrible beat, I know. Although I do feel like the guy stunk for calling a $5 pre-flop raise with an A 4, I know this kind of thing still happens and I can handle it. But this was just 1 of many hands like this I had my entire session. This is the worst losing session I have ever had (lost $123). While it's not a ton, and I do keep a proper bankroll in my online account, it still stinks!!!Oh well, like I said, I don't really know why I am whining about a negative swing. I know it won't be the last time. I guess I just felt like venting a little.THANKS!!!
I hate the swings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
