I was wondering what characteristics you look for in game selection on party poker. I ask this because the only real information that you can get from the board is the # of players and the average pot sizes. Do any of you scout the games first? I admit to being one who does not usually look a lot of characteristics of a game. The only thing i look for is a full table, that has towards the top of the pot sizes. Currently my game is 2-4, and im looking for a full ring game with a pot size30-40. Table selection is something that i haven't studied up on much.I would like to hear how everyone chooses tables. Thanks.

Loook at the ones with big pots. When you get in there, if there are few people seeing the flop, but the pots are getting huge, you shouldn't get in there. It's to TAG.If you look and see a number of people seeing the flop, and countless people coldcalling raises, you found your place. That's what I go by.

Great Point, thanks, I usually play a few hours int he morning and today i was in the tightest 2-4 game in Empire Poker History! Anyway i felt lost and quite bored, i definately like the jucier games, but yes, i think youre point is great and something i will look into. (i used to be one that cold called raises, i probably had poeple gunning for me daily.

I take into consideration 2 MAJOR things. One Pot Size. This shows either loose players or big pots with nice made hands. I open the table, get on the list and open my poker software. This software tells me the % to the flop within 2 hands. If the flop after ten hands is less than 30% I am off the list or off this table. This is one of my major keys to success. Good luck.
