tonight's 36+3 on stars

Recommended Posts

Like I said in a pair of previous posts, I would like to do a group chat/post session for tonight's 36+3. These I think are the most profitable tournies on Stars due to the lack of understanding of how to play before and during the bubble period. I will be starting a chat room up on AIM and will post any interesting hands in here. AIM addy is prk247, hit me up if you would like an invite.

Yeah, the group chat was fun. I'm sure it's insanely profitable on the bubble, but you have to get there first. My elimination hand:Blinds 50/100, My stack: 2200 Opponent: 19001 limper UTG, AQo in MP2, I raise to 400, Opponent in the CO moves all in, UTG folds.Occasionally I might lay this hand down, but my opponent must've had somewhere to go, bc he had just gotten all his chips in preflop with KTs the previous hand. I thought for a while, I came to the conclusion that this was either a coin flip situation or I had him dominated. I call, he shows 99,board goes 8K6K9, gg me.

I think it was a very easy call as I have seen that situation many many times. If the 2 was a 4, you'd be competing against more outs. Only thing I may of done differently due to my style of play and how you said he had a stack, usually if a stack limps, he is willing to call all raises except All-ins when he limps. Obviously you arent going to push with 33 but I may of just limped and whwen the shortstack(raider) pushed I might of shielded it possibly with a repush. DCDiamonds must love his suited cards as I see it as a horrible play on his part...
