Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is Button with [As :spade: ], [9s :spade: ]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, BB checks.Flop: (6.50 SB) [2s :spade: ], [3d :diamond: ], [5s :spade: ] (6 players)BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, Hero calls.Turn: (11.25 BB) [9c :club: ] (4 players)UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, Hero calls.River: (14.25 BB) [4c :club: ] (3 players)UTG bets, Hero folds, UTG calls.Final Pot: 24.25 BBI called originally on the river thinking that this would be a chop and some dead money would be in, but all the extra action made me think that folding even though I put in two river bets might be right, I still don't know as it was a really big pot even with a possible chop. The three bet flop was to try to get a free card and to pump the pot

Fold to the first two cold on the river. There's no way 6x isn't capping here, and while the pot's quite large you're not winning it outright enough times to justify a call.Even getting 10 to 1 or whatever.
I've never played poker.

There was a ton of $ in the pot at the end; I would have called as you had the straight. Only a 6 beats you at this point so it's worth 2 bets to find out.

I reluctantly call it down at the end. UTG may have flopped a set. UTG+1's raise on the river would have me scratching my head a little, but I think it's worth a call.

Do you think that it's a close decision? I figured it's two extra bets versus one of the players having a 6 and the other outcome that if there's no 6, you'll be splitting the pot with one or two other players.I'm just surprised that EV is negative here in terms of a call.

For this call to make any sense you have to be draggin this pot outright at least 25% of the time which I don't think you're vaguely close to doing.
