Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP1 with [K :diamond: ], [Kc :club: ]. 2 folds, BB calls.Flop: (8.50 SB) [2c :club: ], [4c :club: ], [8h  ] (4 players)BB bets, CO calls, BB calls.Turn: (10.25 BB) [3c :club: ] (3 players)BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls.River: (13.25 BB) [4s :spade: ] (3 players)BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls, Hero calls.Final Pot: 17.25 BBmy read on the flop was that the BB might've had a set of 8s or had pocket Jacks or tens, so I felt that I shouls see what their action would be on the turnif I got checkraised then I would dump the hand or if I got raised at all, but that didn't happen so I ruled out a set or straight, even the flush because of the no raise. what do y'all think

so I ruled out a set or straight, even the flush because of the no raise. what do y'all thinkI think you played this ok. You played the flop right, raising and capping to rule out any flush draws (well you SHOULD have ruled out any flush draws) but everyone stayed.Maybe check the turn to see where you are at now that the flush hit. I like this because1) If a player who you think is tight bets out, you have a read on his flush possibility.2) You can re-raise the turn to really see who has the flush. With a straight flush on the board though, I don't think betting out with a pair is smart, especially given how loose these players seem to be on the flop. The river brought trips on the fours. So now you have a straight, flush, and a possible set or full house on board.( Don't forget there are a mass of players that play hands like 2-4 suited to raises )The pot odds would make your call on the river OK, but I think betting out is questionable. But all in all, I don't think the way you played it was all that bad.

But don't you think checking the river and smooth-calling any bet is the best way to play it?

Definately bet the turn with the K-high flush draw.I bet the river, too.I play it the exact same way you did.
